ABULKHANOVA Ksenia Alexandrovna – Russian psychologist, an expert in the sphere of psychological methodology, psychology of thinking, social psychology and psychology of personality. The Member of Russian Academy of Education, doctor of Philosophy, professor, the head of the laboratory “psychology of personality” in the Institute of psychology Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The disciple of S.L.Rubinstein. A. elaborated the typology of personality, the conception of social thinking and social representations, devoted in particular to Russian mentality.

ALEKSANDROV Yuriy Iosifovich - doctor of psychology, professor, the head of the laboratory of neuro-physiological principles of psychology in the Institute of psychology RAS. The diciple of P.K.Anokhin and V.VB.Shvyrkov. The sphere of scientific research: the historical approach to systematic behaviour organization, the systematic psychophysiology. Behavioral act is fulfilled as a hierarchy of functional system; the levels of this system reflect the process of behavioral formation – its consecutive stages.

ANANIEV Boris Gerasimovich (1907-1972) – doctor of phychology, professor, the Member of the Academy of Psychological Sciences of the USSR, Honoured Science Worker, one of the founders of Leningrad psychological school, the organizer of psychological section and Department of psychology in Leningrad State University, up to 1972 the Dean of this department. Scientific work is devoted to complex study of a person in the sphere of general, differential, developmental and pedagogical psychology as well as in the inter-disciplinary study. Ananiev introduced the notion of “sensory-perceptible organization” of a person, elicited systematic nature of sensible cognition and spatial orientation; he revealed the peculiarities of cerebral hemispheres functioning and its role in mental activity. He showed the heterochronology in mental development; discovered the peculiarities of intellectual functions and psychophysiological structures at a mature age.

ANDREEVA Galina Mikhailovna – the Member of Russian Academy of education (RAE), doctor of Philosophy, professor, the Member of European Association of Experimental Social Psychology, the founder of social psychology department at psychological faculty in Moscow state University. Andreeva elaborates the theory of social psychology and its main items; the particular attention is paid to psychological features of different social groups, the dynamics of social-psychological and social-perceptible processes.

ANOKHIN Piotr Kuzmich (1898-1974) –neuro-physiologist, doctor of medicine, academician of Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR and the Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The scientific activity started under the guidance of I.P. Pavlov. Anokhin was one of the founders of the Institute of psychology of the USSR and the laboratory of neuro-physiology of training (now the lab of neuro-physiological principles of psychology). He elaborated the theory of functional systems (FS) which tied together subtle neuro-physiological mechanisms and integral activity of an individual. FS theory was considered as the “methodological bridge” between psychology and physiology.

ANTZYFEROVA Lyudmila Ivanovna – the Honorary member of RAE. doctor of Philosophy, professor, the Honoured Science Worker, the head research worker of the Institute of psychology RAS. She works in the sphere of methodology, history of psychology and historical psychology as well as in developmental psychology and gerontopsychology and in the sphere of person psychology. A. elaborated the dynamical approach to personality within which the latter is considered as a self-developing system, as an initiator of one’s own activity, change and progressive development.
