The France-Russia Centre for Humanities and Social Science invites you
to participate in an international colloquium

Party and State Organizations in USSR in 1953-1985 - new sources and new
themes.

The colloquium will take place in Moscow (Small Conference Hall, INION)
on  8-9 April 2008.


The colloquium will center on the following themes:

  a.. Areas of the Party-State apparatus activity so far neglected by
historical research
  b.. Types of new reference books needed
  c.. Sources used in research
  d.. Pros and cons of these sources in the study of Soviet institutions
  e.. The kind of problems and help researchers come across in their
work
  f.. The best ways of overcoming these barriers
