PhD Scholarship: C20th and C21st Performer Training (Europe and Russia)- University of Leeds
The School of Performance & Cultural Industries (PCI) at the
The successful student would be a member of the Theatre, Dance and Performance Research grouping in the
Proposals, which may be practice-led, might respond to the following sub-themes, although these should not be read as prescriptive:
- Derivations, lineages and (false) traditions of performer training
- The currency of historic training methodologies in the C21st
- Documentation and training
- The languages of training and the problems of translation
This three-year scholarship will consist of full UK/EU fees (or an equivalent contribution towards international fees) and a £6000 annual bursary. The bursary includes an expectation of 3 hours teaching per week or equivalent editorial support work for a new Performer Training journal at approval stage with the publishers.
